High-Field Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

Our high-field MRI scanner provides exceptionally detailed tissue contrast, enabling our radiologists to evaluate neurological, musculoskeletal, and vascular conditions with high precision.

Clinical Applications:

  • Brain & Spine: Screening for stroke, tumors, multiple sclerosis, disc herniations, and spinal stenosis.
  • Orthopedics: Visualizing ligament tears (ACL/MCL), meniscus damage, cartilage wear, and joint infections.
  • Vascular MRA: Non-contrast assessment of brain aneurysms and carotid artery narrowing.

Patient Preparation Guidelines:

  • Remove all metal objects, jewelry, watches, keys, and hairpins prior to entering the MRI room.
  • Notify our coordinators if you have a cardiac pacemaker, cochlear implants, or metallic fragments in your body.
  • No fasting is required for standard brain or joint MRI scans. For abdominal MRI studies, fast for 4 hours.
  • If your doctor requested a Contrast MRI, bring your recent blood report showing Serum Creatinine levels.

Multi-Slice Computed Tomography (CT Scan)

CT scanning combines advanced computer processing with multiple X-ray measurements to reconstruct detailed cross-sectional slices of internal organs, bone structure, and blood vessels.

Clinical Applications:

  • Chest & Abdomen: Spotting infections, bowel obstruction, kidney stones, appendicitis, and vascular aneurysms.
  • Trauma & Orthopedics: Detailed mapping of complex bone fractures and internal bleeding.
  • Oncology: Identifying tumor bounds, staging spread, and verifying chemo results.

Patient Preparation Guidelines:

  • For plain CT scans (non-contrast), no special fasting is required.
  • For **Contrast-Enhanced CT (CECT)** scans, you must fast (no food or liquids except plain water) for 4 to 6 hours before your appointment.
  • Bring a recent **Serum Creatinine** blood test report (not older than 15 days) to ensure safe contrast dye processing.
  • Wear comfortable, loose clothing. You will be asked to change into a clinical gown for the scan.

Advanced Ultrasound & Color Doppler Studies

Ultrasound uses safe, high-frequency sound waves to create live images of tissues and organ motion, completely avoiding exposure to ionizing radiation.

Clinical Applications:

  • Basic Abdominal & Obstetric/Gynaecological USG: Routine pregnancy, fetal monitoring, ovarian, uterine, and general abdominal organ evaluation.
  • Small Part USG (Thyroid / Breast / Scrotum etc): High-frequency scans for superficial tissues, thyroid nodules, breast screening, scrotum, and small body parts.
  • Musculoskeletal / Peripheral Nerve USG: Visualizing muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints, and peripheral nerves for orthopedic diagnostics.
  • Transvaginal USG: Internal pelvic scanning for higher-resolution gynecological and obstetric diagnostic accuracy.
  • Color Doppler Studies: Neck/Carotid Doppler, Limb/Peripheral Vascular Doppler (arterial and venous to rule out DVT), Renal Doppler, and other abdominal Doppler studies.

Patient Preparation Guidelines:

  • Whole Abdomen USG: Fast for 6 hours before the study to reduce bowel gas interference.
  • Pelvic / Obstetrics USG: Drink 4-5 glasses of water 1 hour prior. Do not void; a full urinary bladder is needed for clear imaging.
  • Neck/Thyroid/Scrotum Doppler: No fasting or bladder preparation is required.

Digital Breast Mammography

Mammography is a low-dose X-ray examination specifically calibrated to capture breast tissue details, serving as the gold standard for screening and early detection of changes.

Clinical Applications:

  • Screening for early signs of breast changes (microcalcifications and soft tissue nodules) before symptoms arise.
  • Evaluating palpable lumps, skin thickening, or localized pain.

Patient Preparation Guidelines:

  • Schedule your scan 7-10 days after your menstrual cycle starts, when breast tissue is least tender.
  • Do not apply deodorants, talcum powder, body lotions, or perfumes under your arms or on your breasts on the day of the scan, as these can show as microcalcification spots on X-rays.
  • Wear a two-piece outfit (skirt/pants and a top) for convenience during prep.

DEXA Bone Densitometry

Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) calculates bone mineral density (BMD) at the spine and hip, providing the most accurate diagnostic metrics for osteoporosis.

Clinical Applications:

  • Diagnosing osteopenia and osteoporosis in high-risk groups.
  • Monitoring bone density improvements during active therapeutic treatment.
  • Estimating future bone fracture risks.

Patient Preparation Guidelines:

  • No fasting is required.
  • Stop taking calcium supplements 24 hours prior to your DEXA scan.
  • Inform our technicians if you have recently undergone a barium study, contrast CT, or nuclear medicine study, as residual contrast can interfere with density calculations.

Digital X-Ray & Spirometry

We provide high-resolution digital X-rays with minimized exposure alongside pulmonary function tests to diagnose respiratory and joint conditions.

Clinical Applications:

  • Digital X-Ray: Chest checks for pneumonia, joint radiography for arthritis, and bone integrity.
  • Spirometry: Diagnostic testing to measure lung capacity, check for asthma, COPD, and general respiratory efficiency.

Patient Preparation Guidelines:

  • X-Ray: No special prep. Inform technicians if there is any chance of pregnancy.
  • Spirometry: Do not smoke for at least 6 hours before the test. Avoid heavy meals prior, and wear loose, comfortable clothing. If you use bronchodilator inhalers, check with our desk on when to hold dosing.
